Dental insurance
Many patients have dental benefits through their employer or a personal policy. Here is how insurance works at our clinic.
| Alliance MediNet and SODA by DA | All other insurers | |
|---|---|---|
| Arrangement | Panel clinic, cashless | Pay and claim (reimbursement) |
| At the clinic | Bring your NRIC and insurance card or app. We verify eligibility and submit the claim electronically. | Pay the fee. We issue an itemised receipt and complete any claim form or memo required. |
| You pay | Any excess or treatment outside your plan | Full fee, then claim from your insurer |
| Accident cases | Memo provided | Memo provided |
Any treatment approved under your policy can be provided at our clinic. If you are unsure what your plan covers, bring your policy summary or ask your HR department; we are happy to give you an itemised quote for pre-approval.
CHAS subsidies and MediSave can be used alongside insurance where applicable; the CHAS subsidy is applied to the bill first.
Frequently asked questions
Which insurance panels is Toothsmith on?
We are a panel clinic for Alliance MediNet and SODA by DA. If your company or policy uses these administrators, eligible treatment is cashless: we submit the claim directly and you pay only any excess or non-covered amount.
My insurer is not on your panel. Can I still claim?
Yes, by reimbursement. You pay at the clinic and we give you an itemised receipt and, if needed, a treatment memo or claim form endorsement for you to submit to your insurer. Check your policy for annual limits and which treatments are covered.
Does dental insurance cover braces or implants?
Most basic corporate dental plans cover check-ups, scaling, fillings and extractions, with annual caps. Orthodontics and implants are covered only under some enhanced plans. We will provide the itemised quote your insurer needs for pre-approval.
Can I claim for a dental injury under my personal accident policy?
Often yes. We can provide a memo describing the injury and treatment. Bring the claim form from your insurer.
